Anyone come across an intermittent over boost situation on a rav 4 d4d motor? I've ruled out the turbo (see variable vein article on forum) and replaced the boost solenoid, still it occurs. I'm suspecting a loss of vacuum as there is no pattern to the fault, but don't know enough about the system. Can anyone help?

We have looked into your issue, we have no common issues with overboost on this engine, do you have any fault codes in the system?. If the turbo is ruled out then the fault is pointing to the the control side.
