Hi Chaps,
We replaced the inlet manifold and the 4 plates in 2014.Customer came back recently with issues pointing to the swirl flap linkage failed. Due to our lead time he went elsewhere,They also told him the plate in cylinder chamber No4 was fitted upside down and he is now after recompense.

The Technician who did the job is no longer with us and we have not done one since. So i goolged the part No(06H103411B) and by the look of them and photos of the head i have seen they only fit on way. But i need concrete proof this is the case to show the customer we not trying side step the issue and that the other garage are attempting to make us look bad. I have searched high and low and cannot find the evidence to present to him.

Can anyone confirm they only fit one way(why would one be upside down and they other three not ?) And proof in print form to back this up please.

Kind Regards

Why not go on the VW technical info site to get the repair and system overview information, or you can download a workshop manual for the specific engine if needed.

Well worth the money and time if it gets you out f a complaint and compensation claim!
