I have just fitted a DME and new injectors to a 118 E87 2008 and it needed very little coding if any, they where genuine parts ordered through BMW to chassis number. Has any one seen this before ?

Hello!
Just looking into this it appears there is some coding to carry out see below for DME replacement.

Coding and programming to be carried out of the below control units.
Carry out adjustment of following control units:
-
EWS (electronic immobilizer)
-
DME (Digital Motor Electronics)
For the injectors they need adjusting per injector. The adjustment value needs to be entered according to the installation location.

I know it is an old post, just wanted to reply as per repair procedure from BMW.
