Hi Susan01smile

I know this question was over 9 years ago but I'm going to answer the older questions on the forum so at least if anyone comes across the same issues there is an answer below the question.

There is an issue with a wiring loom, rubbing on a A/C pipe causing an issue within the glow plug circuit.

First thing first is to check the fuses for the glow plug circuit, there is a glow plug control module that can become faulty so is worth eliminating that as the issue.

The wiring harness in question runs behind the battery & battery holder, this exposes the ECU there should be two big connectors, from there trace the loom back 10" or so the loom goes alongside the A/C pipe.
It should have a plastic bracket that keeps this wire off/away from the A/C pipe. Sufficient wiring repair to the loom is advised as this is causing the short circuit for the glow plug system.

Hope this helps anyone experiencing the same problems.
