Driver Complaint – Intermittent loss of power assisted steering.

Cause/Symptom – Fault code 00573 stored in system memory referring to G269 torque sensor.

Rectification Route – Check the supply voltage to pin number 15 at the steering rack multi plug connector has battery voltage, if so suspect the sensor has failed. Check the build code with the Audi parts department as the sensor comes with the rack assembly only on certain builds, our caller replaced the rack and also the loom section.
